At 2-Work, we’re lucky to work with some incredibly talented people, and one of those is designer and creative Mark Hoolahan who works in our leeds city centre co-working space.

If you’ve spent any time in our Leeds City Centre spaces recently, chances are you’ve already seen Mark, or his work, without even realising it. Like every single one of our members, he’s played a part in helping bring personality into some of our workspaces. And we simply love that!

Mark mainly bases himself at our flagship property, 2-Work No.1 Whitehall Riverside in Leeds City Centre, and if you’ve visited since it opened in January 2026, you’ll know it’s rarely quiet for long. The building has quickly become a busy hub for businesses, freelancers, creatives and growing teams, and Mark fits right into that energy.

“I like working at 2-Work [because] being a freelance designer, it allows me to get in a collaborative environment, meet other likeminded people” he shares.

“I’ve actually connected with a couple of freelancers in a couple of the sites, so it really works for me.”

More than just a workspace

One of the best things about working in flex space is seeing how collaboration naturally happens inside our spaces no matter if you’re an office, co-working, dedicated desk or a meeting room member.

A quick coffee turns into a conversation – especially when we run our polls on what type of tea you prefer as that causes a LOT of stir! A conversation turns into an idea and sometimes even a customer or a friend.     And an idea turns into a project, a goal, a profit.

That’s exactly the kind of community we want to keep building.

At No.1 Whitehall Riverside and across all our 2-Work locations, we’re proud to bring together people from different industries, backgrounds and creative worlds, and Mark is a brilliant example of that energy in action.

So… What Is Inside 2-Work?

Inside 2-Work is where we’ll be sharing the people, stories, spaces and ideas behind life at 2-Work.

Think of it as a behind-the-scenes look at what goes on across our buildings, from member stories and creative collaborations to workspace inspiration, business wins, events, coffee chats and the occasional bit of organised chaos.

We wanted it to feel less “corporate newsletter” and more “catching up with people doing interesting things.”

And honestly, launching our first feature with someone like Mark felt like the perfect place to start.

And this is just the beginning for Inside 2-Work.

More stories, more people and probably more coffee-fuelled ideas coming soon.
