INSIDE 2-WORK: MEET IZZY FROM LOGICA DIGITAL
At 2-Work, our members are what make our spaces what they are, and one of those members is Izzy Clayton from Logica Digital.
Based at our Wakefield location in Tileyard North, Izzy has been a member for a year and works as an Account Manager for Logica Digital, a digital marketing agency.
“I look after our client projects, freelancers, and the marketing for our company,” says Izzy. “A large part of my role is connecting with local businesses, so you’ll often find me networking throughout Wakefield, Leeds, Barnsley and Sheffield.”
Helping small businesses with digital marketing
Logica Digital exists to help small businesses with their digital marketing.
“We work with business owners who haven’t got the time, the energy, or the knowledge to get their online presence ready to attract customers,” Izzy explains.
The agency’s main services include website design, search engine optimisation (including Local SEO and Technical SEO), PPC and paid social. These services are designed to help clients reach the right audience, receive more traffic and enquiries, and grow their business.
Logica works with a wide range of businesses across different sectors.
“We work with both a suit tailor and an air compressor supplier, which are opposite ends of the scale!”
Alongside delivering work for clients, the team has recently been focusing on its onboarding processes.
“We want our new clients to have a seamless process for signing up, payment, initial calls, and having consistent support.”
As part of this, Logica has invested in a new client portal where clients will be able to submit support requests, upgrade their packages, communicate with the team through a messaging system and view their reporting dashboard.
WHY 2-WORK?
As a hybrid team, flexibility was one of the main reasons Logica chose 2-Work.
“The flexibility of the co-working space was ideal for us,” says Izzy. “We also love being based in Tileyard North as there are hidden gems here, such as the Vinyl Cafe and the Hepworth Gardens.”
When asked about her favourite thing about working at 2-Work, the answer was simple.
“The social element.”
“As a small business with employees that work hybrid, it’s easy to feel quite lonely and spend a day without talking to anyone. Being able to work from 2-Work in the coworking space means I can have chats by the coffee machine and sit with other members while we have dinner.”
“I get to look forward to working from the office because I know someone will make conversation and make me smile. You don’t often get that working from home.”
The value of being part of a community
Being based at 2-Work has also had a positive impact on the business.
“We have been fortunate enough to gain a client from working in the same office space as them – we wouldn’t have met otherwise.”
“It’s great to be surrounded by similarly sized businesses, as you can exchange ideas and find out what’s working well for one another.”
Working in digital marketing
One thing Izzy says people might not know about digital marketing is just how quickly it changes.
“Anything digital moves so fast, which means strategy has to adapt quickly, and you must be flexible, or else you get left behind.”
“This comes with the challenge of communicating digital changes to clients who have very little understanding of how marketing works and why we need to adapt their strategy. The best example of this right now is how AI is affecting SEO.”
